The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky is the novel I am currently reading. I haven't read much of it but the conflict of the story is starting to appear. The book is great and I am enjoying it very much. The main characters name is Charlie but that is just a fake name he is using to cover his identity. The whole story revolves around Charlie, who sends letter to a randomly anonymous person speaking about his problems. He slowly starts to tell this person everything and about his biggest trouble that was that his best friend has recently committed suicide. He has very big problems at home because his 24 year old brother hardly cares about his grades so his parents are always mad at him. Also, his beautiful older sister has a horrible boyfriend that treats her awfully because he beats her up every night. Up until where I am at Charlie is dealing with his weird and awkward life and he is also exploring his life as a teenager as he gets new friends, gets into different problems, deals with the girl he loves and tries to understand how awful life will be with his friends departure. Wow! What an interesting and awesome life. So yeah, his life is pretty messed up but he will need to learn how to live with it. He just barely made it through freshmen year so he has a lot to catch up on and to understand.
